About Marc

With 40 years of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation, Marc Kutner has spent his career navigating a wide range of cases, including maritime and land-based torts, product liability, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, toxic torts, and commercial disputes. His extensive trial experience spans both state and federal courts in Texas and Louisiana, where he has served as first chair trial counsel in a number of high-profile cases. Marc is licensed to practice in Texas, New York, and before several federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

After litigating and mediating hundreds of cases over four decades, Marc has come to believe the best resolutions to legal disputes are often found outside the courtroom. He now focuses on helping individuals and businesses resolve disputes in a more collaborative, lower risk manner. His mediation practice blends his legal expertise with a genuine desire to assist parties in reaching a mutually beneficial solution that avoids the time and costs associated with trials.

Originally from New York, Marc earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1985 and has been a Houstonian ever since. He completed his mediation training at the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center of the University of Houston Law Center.
